Indeed, implementation is really hard, takes time, resilience, and patience to make the change. However, MBB firms are still taking implementation folks as second-class citizens. I myself had to fight with this stigma.
In the beginning, I was pigeonholed in the Implementation and labeled a 'Process guy'. Didn't like it, although respected the job, didn't like the treatment.
